Exploring Al Ru Farm for their annual open garden + Adding 2 new garden beds and planting Dahlias 🌸

Hiya Beautiful! I hope you're having a lovely weekend, whether it's somewhere sunny or (like here in Adelaide) watching the rain hydrating our plant babies from somewhere cosy inside... In todays video, we share some moments from last weekend where Marcus and I explored the gorgeous Al Ru Farm for their annual open garden. Al Ru is located in the north of Adelaide between the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa. It's an absolutely stunning wedding venue, with so many stunning spots to explore and celebrate. I believe you can also stay in one their accomodation offerings, which I definitely want to look into. I also ordered a pair of small garden beds and some dahlias for a new dedicated Dahlia flower bed which was very cost effective as the garden beds were $65 for both of them and the dahlias were about $50 on Special with garden express. We had soil and compost already so didn't need to buy that but I think it's a fantastic option for starting your Dahlia journey for under $150 total! I'll add the links below :) When filling the beds, we do the lasagne method.. Starting with cardboard - sticks and branches and larger organic matter, mulch, soil, compost + alfalfa meal and then I will add more mulch on top as well.
