Teentaal | Manch Pravesh | Kathak Performance by Sunisha Dasmunshy

Hello everyone! Taal Jhaptaal is the second piece I performed for my Manch Pravesh, which took place on 4 March 2023 at the National Library Building in Singapore. This taal follows a sixteen beat pattern and is one of the most popular taals in Indian classical music. I have presented compositions such as tukdas, tihais and gat bhav that are typical to Teentaal. All pieces have been choreographed by my Guru, Guru Jyotika Joshi. I had been blessed with the opportunity to perform with live music, alongside renowned artistes and Gurus currently teaching at the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS).
