Balanga City, Bataan
October 15, 2026
Underscoring the Administration’s commitment to building a greener, more sustainable future and modernizing public transportation, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inspected the Balanga Green Mobility Hub in Balanga City, Bataan on October 15, 2026.
A project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the facility integrates a public transportation terminal with solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
During the inspection, President Marcos Jr. was briefed on the features of the 5,700-square-meter facility, including four (4) transport bays with covered parking for up to eight (8) vehicles, six (6) public utility vehicle (PUV) parking spaces, four (4) sets of 60-kilowatt EV chargers, 222 solar photovoltaic (PV) modules rated at 590 watts each, and two (2) 215-kilowatt-hour battery energy storage units. The hub also houses restrooms, passenger support facilities, and administrative, electrical and mechanical facilities.
The Green Mobility Hub is expected to benefit both drivers and commuters by supporting the Provincial Government’s Libreng Sakay Program, which provides point-to-point transportation services across Bataan using electric vehicles. The facility also has the potential to help EV operators manage charging costs, with a proposed rate of Php5 per kilowatt-hour, while promoting cleaner, more energy-efficient transportation in the Province.
