Nimsdai (Nirmal Purja) – the Gurkha soldier who climbed all 14 of the world's 8000m peaks in just 6 months and 6 days, led the first-ever winter ascent of K2, and lost his life in the Broad Peak avalanche on July 30, 2026. This is his full story – and his last climb.
In this cinematic documentary we tell the life of Nirmal "Nims" Purja: a boy from Dana village in Nepal's Myagdi district, the first Gurkha to join Britain's elite Special Boat Service (SBS), the man behind Project Possible and Netflix's "14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible", and the mountaineer who broke record after record on Everest, K2 and the Himalaya. We also cover what happened on Broad Peak in Pakistan's Karakoram – how the avalanche struck between Camp 2 and Camp 3, why his team was still on the mountain, and the legacy he leaves behind.
