Our First Family Camping Trip in Years | Getting Back to the Little Things ❤️ Sometimes you don't realise how much you've missed something… until you find yourself doing it again. After years of not camping, we finally packed up the family and headed out for a few days of camping, nature, family time and adventure. For Louis, living with Multiple Sclerosis, camping had become difficult. Setting up camp, getting around in a tent and managing his mobility challenges made something we once loved feel almost impossible. But with some incredible friends, a beautiful campsite and a little courage to try again, we decided it was time to give camping another go. And what a weekend it was! We spent our days: 🏕️ Camping in a beautiful farm setting 💦 Playing in the stream 🔥 Making fires 🥖 Making homemade stick bread 🎯 Enjoying our family slingshots 🦌 Going on a game drive 🏊 Swimming in a freezing cold stream-fed pool ❤️ Simply slowing down and enjoying time together We also tested a new Buckets of Blessings stick bread recipe, making both savoury and sweet versions — including delicious boerewors stick bread and cheese & syrup stick bread. But this weekend became about so much more than camping. It reminded us that getting back up doesn't always mean going back to the way things were.
