With the juice added, the game finally feels alive, so it's time to test it properly. In this episode we fix bugs, build new game modes, tune the victory conditions, add more AI personalities, and sit back to watch the AI play against itself. Along the way Claude corrects me, and it turns out to be right. We also look behind the scenes at working with AI on a growing project: when to start a new chat and when not to, and how to keep token usage under control. Finally, we start building the world this game lives in. In this episode 🎮 Playtesting with juice: does the game feel different now that it pops? 🐛 Fixing bugs: hunting down what broke along the way 🕹️ Game modes: Free-for-all, Teams, and a secret-target Assassination mode 🏆 Tuning victory: adjusting how and when matches are won 🤖 More AI personalities: new opponents with new ways to play 👀 Watching the AI play: letting CPUs fight each other to see what really happens 🗺️ Map design: getting battles to start sooner, but not too soon 🙋 The AI corrected me: Claude called me out 💬 One chat or many? When to start a fresh chat and when to keep going 🪙 Saving tokens: keeping context small so Claude stays fast, focused and affordable 🌌 World building: the first steps toward the game's setting and story Tips from this episode: • A new chat for each feature. Long chats get slow, expensive and confused. Keep the important decisions in your design document, not in chat history. • Stay in one chat while you're still in the middle of one feature and the context matters. • Keep documents small and split up. Let the AI read only the section it needs instead of the whole design. • Check cheaply first. Error logs and game state cost less than screenshots. • Listen when the AI pushes back. It's not always right, but it's worth hearing out. About this series Beginner's Guide to Vibe Coding Games with Godot & Claude AI. Inspired by a game I half-remember from the 2000s, we build a complete real-time strategy game from scratch, working with Claude every step of the way. That includes the design, liquid physics, CPU opponents, game modes and the final art. You'll see the mistakes and dead ends too, not just a polished result. You only need the basics of Godot to follow along. 💬 Your turn: has an AI ever corrected you, and been right? Tell me in the comments. #godot #gamedev #vibecoding #claudeai #indiedev #godot4 #claudecode #gameai #godotmcpstudio
