The Atlanta-born Michael Williams’ journey began when his father gifted him a Korg ES-1 sampler. Then came his first break: producing for hometown hero Gucci Mane. Since then, he’s founded production company EarDrummers Entertainment and helped Atlanta maintain its status as the epicenter of contemporary rap. While he’s capable of impeccable rap-pop work as demonstrated on Beyoncé’s “Formation,” he saves his weirdest, most adventurous work for crossover wunderkinds like Miley Cyrus and Rae Sremmurd.
