Battery light on in your 2010 Kia Forte 2.0L? In this video, I show how I diagnosed the charging problem and replaced the alternator using an easier removal method. When the battery light came on, I checked the battery with a voltmeter and only had about 10 volts, showing that the charging system was not keeping the battery properly charged. I saw another method where the intake was removed to get the alternator out, but I found an easier way. I only removed the cooling fan assembly, which gave me enough room to remove and replace the alternator without taking the intake off. In this video, I show the complete step-by-step process for removing the old alternator and installing the replacement. If your Kia Forte has a battery light on, low battery voltage, a battery that keeps going dead, or an alternator that is not charging, this repair may help you fix the problem yourself.
