Every box score from 1983-84 on, 43 seasons, for the final model. The luck test: 10,000 pretend universes where clutch doesn’t exist, plus odd seasons vs. even seasons. Clutch as a repeatable skill couldn’t be told apart from chance. Championship swing: how much each playoff game moved a team’s odds of winning the title, split among the players by what they produced in that game (Game Score). Wins earn credit, losses take blame. 3,375 playoff games, 2,134 players, scored in championships. The rules were written down before the first run. Stress test: 10,000 universes, each randomly changing how much games swing, which team rating is used, the stat used for production, how blame is shared, which seasons count, and a dose of luck on every game.
