No: TALK051 Label Code: LC-19112 Release Type: EP Medium: digital Territory: ww Tracklist: 1 Tonco - Personal Thing 2 Tonco - Present State "Personal Thing" marks the TalkTalk Records debut of Amsterdam DJ and producer Tonco, a two track Indie Tech EP that pairs the title track with "Present State." The title track was inspired by afro and funk and the kind of groove that keeps you moving and keeps building. It came together on one of those rare studio days and quickly picked up early support, becoming the one track from the past year that Tonco plays in every set. "Present State" shows a more emotional side, with an indie and electronic touch, a drum-led groove, a lead that edges toward acid and a storytelling vocal about being in the moment. Rooted in melodic house and techno, Tonco has broadened his sound to move between house, afro-inspired rhythms and groove-driven dance music, drawing on his background as a drummer. His productions have drawn support from artists such as Arodes, Marten Lou, Notre Dame, Alex Wann, Samm, Ajna, Manu, Cincity and Philou Louzolo.
