4 PARKS. ONE WEEKEND. 📻🌴 | The Ultimate Florida POTA Road Trip! What happens when you combine ham radio, four POTA activations, a Florida road trip, beach time, and a ridiculous amount of shrimp? You get one heck of a weekend with The Spirited Ham! This time we're hitting the road for a 4-park Parks on the Air rove, taking the Icom IC-7300 and KM4KM Mercury Lite amplifier along for the ride. Our POTA adventure takes us to: 📍 Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins Historic State Park 📍 Pepper Creek Wildlife Management Area 📍 Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge 📍 North Peninsula State Park — because if you're going to activate a park in Florida, you might as well do one right on the beach! We're setting up, getting on 20 meters SSB, chasing contacts, seeing how far we can push the station, and enjoying some pretty incredible Florida scenery along the way. And judging by the QSO map, the bands definitely gave us a few surprises—including some serious DX across the Atlantic! But once the radios were packed up, the weekend wasn't over. We headed to The Freezer for some absolutely incredible shrimp and waterfront Florida vibes before finishing things off with some much-needed beach time.
