བར་དོ་འཕྲང་སྒྲོལ་གྱི་སྨོན་ལམ། — Bardo Trangdröl Mönlam Aspiration for Deliverance from the Perilous Straits of the Bardo Chanted by Khenpo Pema. Chant along with the words on screen 🙏 The Dzongkha text lights up in gold as it is chanted, with the phonetic reading underneath, so you can follow and recite together even if you cannot read Uchen — like a prayer karaoke. This prayer comes from the Bardo Thödröl cycle revealed by Karma Lingpa, the teaching known in the West as the Tibetan Book of the Dead. It is recited for the deceased during the forty-nine days after death, and by practitioners in life as preparation for their own passing. Verse by verse it calls on the five Buddhas — Vairochana, Vajrasattva, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha and Amoghasiddhi — with their consorts, on the peaceful and wrathful deities, and on the vidyadharas and dakinis, to lead the way through the bardo. So that the written prayer is complete, those two lines were restored in the edit: the two words that differ from the neighbouring lines were recorded separately, and everything else is Khenpo Pema's own voice.
