Coming off I-95, the route threads through Overtown's grid on NW 8th Street, NW 3rd Court, and NW 6th Street/Avenue before crossing near the Miami River on NW North River Drive. From there the drive works into Downtown Miami via SW 1st Street and Biscayne Boulevard, loops briefly through Brickell on the Avenue of the Americas, then heads back north on I-95 to SR-112 and into Allapattah and Miami's Health District along NW 27th Avenue, NW 32nd Avenue, and the surrounding NW grid.
