Today, September 29th, he would be turning 91 years old.

Jerry Lee Lewis: A 1950s rock and roll icon, born on September 29, 1935, in Louisiana, USA. As a child, he loved the chords of the piano and, whenever he could, he would sneak away from his parents to the Black neighborhood to hear the electrifying sound of the piano. At the age of 21, he managed to record his first record with Sun Records. However, while on tour in England, news broke of his marriage to his third cousin, Myra Brown, because she was only 13 years old. The scandal was devastating for his music career. But "The Killer" of rock and roll—so nicknamed because of the way he pounded the piano—managed to recover and received the title of "The Legend of Rock." He truly deserved his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Many years passed, and he remained strong in the music business until his passing in 2022 at the age of 87. #JerryLeeLewis #TheKiller #RockAndRoll #SunRecords #HollywoodHistory #ClassicRock
