Our walk begins near Ocean Boulevard and Poppy Avenue before continuing to Inspiration Point, a scenic blufftop overlook offering sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and Corona del Mar State Beach. From Inspiration Point, we follow the winding pathway toward the beach, stopping at a lower viewing area. Due to the unusually high tide, the final section of the beach access ramp is closed, with ocean waves reaching the area where the walkway normally meets the sand. After returning to Inspiration Point, we continue along Ocean Boulevard, passing scenic overlooks with distant views toward Newport Beach and The Wedge. The walk then descends Breakers Drive toward Corona del Mar State Beach, exploring the area near the harbor jetty and the rocky shoreline around Pirate's Cove. The jetty is closed during the high surf conditions, and the normally sandy area around Pirate's Cove is largely covered by water. Along the main beach, portions of the sand are waterlogged, with incoming waves reaching unusually far up the shoreline toward the volleyball courts.
