In this video, we get a very unique view of an old ship - the Amerigo Vespucci - leaving the Port of Montreal, Canada after a visit from Italy.
The Amerigo Vespucci is an Italian Navy ship built in 1931. It is in the exact same condition as when it was originally built. It left Italy in May and crossed the Atlantic Ocean while also stopping in other locations in North America, including Quebec City just before arriving in Montreal.
The ship left Montreal on Monday, August 3, 2026 and this is what I filmed here.
We can see a large portion of the events leading up to and including the ship leaving port.
We also get a very nice horn show as it departs.
The purpose of the trip was cultural, scientific and diplomatic. You can read the whole story here:
