Through the Eyes of Time – 1000 Years of Family History | Korven Kulkuri

*ONE BLOOD. A THOUSAND YEARS. THE SAME EYES.* 🇬🇧 *ENGLISH* What if you could look into the eyes of your ancestors — and travel a thousand years into the past? Through the Eyes of Time is a cinematic journey through more than a thousand years of family history, inspired by my own genealogical research. The journey begins in the Viking Age with Álöf Ragnarsdóttir and travels through medieval Scandinavia, noble families, changing kingdoms, and the forests and farms of Finland. Kings and nobles give way to farmers, pioneers, railway workers and ordinary families — people whose lives became part of a much greater story. Behind the film are genealogical records, historical places, church documents and old family photographs. The final chapters are inspired by authentic photographs of my grandmother as a young woman in 1917 and my father at the age of seventeen in the 1950s. Using music and AI-generated cinematic imagery, I wanted to bring the names in my family tree to life — not simply as portraits, but as people living their everyday lives. The historical scenes and appearances are artistic interpretations. Some genealogical connections have not been independently verified. The journey begins with a pair of eyes. And more than a thousand years later, it ends with another. ❤️ Dedicated to those who came before us — whose names we may know, but whose voices have long since faded. Through the Eyes of Time on omaan sukututkimukseeni perustuva elokuvallinen matka viikinkiajalta nykypäivään. --- 🎵 Music / Musiikki: Korven Kulkuri 🎬 Film & concept / Elokuvan idea ja toteutus: Korven Kulkuri 🌲 Inspired by Finnish and Scandinavian family history *A THOUSAND YEARS.
