Dag Heward-Mills reads the Tower of Babel story and picks out the three things those builders wanted - a city, a tower, and a name for themselves. Then he flips to Genesis 12 and shows that God promised Abraham those exact same three things freely. The contrast lands hard: the whole earth knows Abraham and Israel, but try telling someone you are from Ghana and watch the blank stare. He drives it home with a car accident story from the road to Tamale - thirty minutes out, perfect conditions, everyone relaxed, and then everything changed in a moment. Your hand cannot make you live one day longer. Trust God with your promotion instead of building your own tower.
