Diving the MV Castor with Massive Goliath Groupers! 🤿🐟🚢

Diving the M/V Castor in Boynton Beach with Trashy Girls Collective during the Goliath Grouper aggregation was absolutely INCREDIBLE! 🤿🐟🚢 The M/V Castor is roughly 258 feet long and sits around 110+ feet below the surface. But honestly, the shipwreck was only part of the adventure… because these Goliath Groupers were the stars of the show! Imagine descending onto a massive shipwreck and seeing Goliath Groupers bigger than you cruising around it! 😳🐟 These incredible giants can grow to 8 feet long and weigh up to 800 pounds, making them the largest grouper species in the Atlantic. They can also live for decades and are known to gather around wrecks and other structures during their spawning season. Seeing these massive fish in their natural environment was something I’ll never forget. There’s something surreal about looking at a fish that could literally be bigger than you and thinking, “Yep… I’m supposed to be down here with this thing!” 😂 And I have to admit… I’m absolutely obsessed with shipwrecks right now! 🚢💙 Every wreck feels like another underwater adventure waiting to be explored, and diving the Castor with Trashy Girls Collective and seeing these incredible Goliaths made this one unforgettable dive.
