HSI Color Model Explained: Formulas, Hue Saturation Intensity & Geometric Representation (DIP)

Welcome to EC Academy! In Lecture DIP #37 of our Digital Image Processing (DIP) series, we provide an in-depth explanation of the HSI (Hue, Saturation, Intensity) Color Model. The HSI model is preferred in image processing because it aligns closely with human color perception, separating the chromatic information (Hue and Saturation) from the light/dark information (Intensity). This video covers the definition and geometric representation of each component: Hue: The pure color component (e.g., red, orange). Saturation: The purity of the color, or how much white light is mixed in. Intensity: The light intensity or brightness of the image (chromatic notation of the black-to-white range). We also detail the crucial mathematical formulas required to convert RGB values into the HSI color space for practical problem-solving. 0:00 Introduction HSI Color Model 0:26 What is the HSI Color Model? 0:49 Hue (H) Defined 1:11 Saturation (S) Defined 1:32 Intensity (I) Defined 1:52 HSI as a Geometric Model (RGB Cube) 3:43 HSI Conversion Formula: Hue 4:41 HSI Conversion Formula: Saturation 5:01 HSI Conversion Formula: Intensity 5:19 Conclusion HSI Color Model, Hue Saturation Intensity, Digital Image Processing, DIP, HSI Formulas, RGB to HSI Conversion, Geometric Color Model, HSI Cube, Human Perception, Color Space, Image Manipulation, Color Purity, Brightness, Image Restoration. #HSIColorModel #DigitalImageProcessing #DIP #ColorSpace #HueSaturationIntensity #ImageProcessingTutorial #ecacademy Follow EC Academy on Telegram: https://t.me/AcademyEC Instagram:   / academyec   Facebook:   / ahecacademy   Twitter:   / asif43hassan   Wattsapp: https://wa.me/919113648762 YouTube:    / ecacademy   #Subscribe, Like and Share 👉    / ecacademy   #Playlist 👇 #DigitalSignalProcessing👉    • Digital signal processing Lecture Series   #DigitalImageProcessing👉    • Digital Image Processing  Complete Lecture...   #BasicElectronics👉    • Basic Electronics | Complete Foundation Co...   #DigitalElectronics👉    • Плейлист   #FlipFlops👉    • Плейлист   #Opamp👉    • Плейлист   #ContolSystems👉    • Control Systems Tutorial Series | GATE & U...   #SignalsAndSyatems👉    • Signals & Systems | Complete Lecture Serie...   #DigitalCommunication👉    • Digital Communication
