🌍 ACCESS Project: The Journey So Far | PLAN Foundation

From community engagement to legislative advocacy, the ACCESS Project continues to make strides towards improving sexual and reproductive health services for women and girls in Oyo State. In this video, we take you through the journey so far of the Accelerating Community Commitment Towards Expanding Sexual and Reproductive Health Services for Women and Girls in Oyo State (ACCESS Project), implemented by PLAN Health Advocacy and Development Foundation (PLAN Foundation), with funding support from AmplifyChange. The journey highlights our engagements with religious leaders, iChoose supervisors (teachers), iChoose peer educators (students), and legislators, alongside advocacy initiatives and stakeholder consultations on the Oyo State Unplanned Pregnancy and Unsafe Abortion (Prevention and Regulation) Bill, 2025. A significant milestone in this journey is the completion of the public hearing on the bill, following its first and second readings in the legislative process. These efforts reflect our continued commitment to engaging relevant stakeholders, amplifying community voices, and advancing legislative action to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes for women and girls. Through community engagement, education, and policy advocacy, the ACCESS Project is working to empower young people, strengthen community commitment, and promote access to accurate sexual and reproductive health information and services.
