Darbar Move: Discontinued in 2021, Revived in 2025: The Story Behind J&K’s 150-Year-Old Tradition The Darbar Move, a nearly 150-year-old administrative tradition of Jammu and Kashmir, is back. Discontinued in 2021 by the then administration citing the adoption of e-office, administrative efficiency and cost savings, the practice was revived by the Omar Abdullah-led government in 2025.
