Ministry of statistics and programme implementation (mospi) came into existence as an independent ministry in 1999 after the merger of the department of statistics and department of programme implementation.The ministry of has two wing one related to statistics and other programme implementation.The statistics wing called national statistics office consist of central statistics office and national sample survey office.The program implementation wing has three division namely 1.Twenty point programme 2.infrastructure monetering and project monetaring 3.MPLAD In this lecture I am also explaining different method of consumption expenditure namely URP method ,MRP method and MMRP .
