Review - THUNDERBOLTS (2025) #Thunderbolts

/ moviebob1   Several of the most unruly background stories in winding through The MCU's deliberately bizarre second "saga" finally come to an uncharacteristically grim, serious-minded head as an team of the happy-faced megafranchise's "dirty work" antihero secondary players find themselves teamed against a scheme to engineer a too-good-to-be-true 'AVENGERS'-replacement that turns out to have a tragic (but also apocalyptically dangerous) dark side. Wisely eschews multiversal meta-shenanigans or cozy comedy more expected of the brand in favor of crisp action beats and a thoughtful story about dealing with depression, loss and doubt - a Marvel-style take on "THE BOYS" if it were written for adults instead of teenage edgelords with oppositional defiant disorder. #marvelstudios #marvel
