Paul Mason’s Evening in Honour of Jeff Beck — Set One - Live Filmed, shot, edited and produced by Roger Di Lernia. The first set from Paul Mason’s Evening in Honour of Jeff Beck, recorded live at the Factory Theatre, Sydney, on 24 September 2026. This special one-night-only celebration honoured the music and legacy of Jeff Beck, widely regarded as one of the most expressive, innovative and influential guitarists of all time. Beck continually pushed the boundaries of rock, blues, fusion and instrumental music, inspiring generations of musicians with his fearless creativity and unmistakable voice on the guitar. Australian guitarist, composer and performer Paul Mason, of Wiradjuri and convict descent, assembled an extraordinary cast of musicians for the evening. Paul has performed alongside artists including Sting, Harry Connick Jr., Jessica Mauboy and James Morrison, as well as the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. An ambassador for Make Music Australia, he has also appeared as a solo artist at major festivals including the Adelaide International Guitar Festival and the Girrakool Blues Festival. Joining him was Mahalia Barnes, one of Australia’s most respected soul, gospel and rock vocalists, alongside Australian guitar icon Brett Garsed, internationally renowned for his groundbreaking technique, fluid phrasing and musicality. Known to many as John Farnham’s longtime guitarist, Brett’s artistry has helped define the sound of one of Australia’s most beloved artists. The evening also featured acclaimed Australian guitarists Ben Rogers, Franco Raggatt and Ollie Thorpe, backed by a mighty band featuring Gordon Rytmeister on drums, Noel Mason on bass and Fenix Martinez on keyboards.
