Nightwish & Tony Kakko – Backstage After End of an Era Show (2005)

Backstage footage filmed after Nightwish’s performance at Hartwall Arena on October 21, 2005 - the night that later became known as End of an Era. This concert marked the final performance of Nightwish with vocalist Tarja Turunen. After the show, Tarja was informed of her dismissal from the band via an open letter, a decision that would soon become public and mark the end of an era in the band’s history. Tarja does not appear in this backstage footage. Members of Nightwish are briefly seen backstage, including Tuomas Holopainen. In the clip, Tuomas is signing and handing over a Once notebook and giving it to me as a gift. At the time this footage was recorded, the audience - and most people backstage - were unaware that this would be Nightwish’s final show with Tarja. Shared for historical and documentary purposes.
