Raouf sees Nermin's wealth as an opportunity to secure his future, while Medhat believes marriage should be based on love and intellectual compatibility. Tragedy strikes when Nermin is involved in a car accident and dies. The family then discovers that she had chosen to donate her heart and eyes after her death.
