I wanted to cheer on the TJAR warriors I admire up close, so I went to the heart of the race – the Southern Alps – the most difficult and challenging section, both physically and mentally, in terms of fatigue, sleepiness, sore feet, and dehydration. This time, I carried a 15kg backpack with camping gear, entered from Torikura, traversed a long distance towards Arakawa Hut and Akusawa-dake, and then returned by retracing my steps, cheering on the TJAR warriors along the way.
