EVANS G1 Clear 10 13 16 Tom Batter Drumheads on SONOR SQ2 - Soundcheck by Bryan Macaranas

A minor drawback of coated heads on the toms is that I don't get to see the inside of the drums, and the wonderful Black Ebony White Strip veneer inside of the shell. First world problems I guess....hah. However, I've been meaning to try single ply heads as the SQ2 tom batters; wow wow wow. Sonically, I love single ply (coated OR clear) heads on toms and snare because of a 'fuller' tone at all tuning ranges. I also find that I can achieve a lower fundamental out of the drums. And wth zero dampening or muffling, I get to enjoy the full resonance out of the toms in their full glory. Heaven. Just listen top these babies!
