1999/00 Season: Hull City 0 - 0 Rotherham United (League)

The flagging 1999/00 season was given an injection of life by the arrival of defender Ian Goodison and midfielder Theodore Whitmore, two of Jamaica's stalwarts in their 1998 World Cup journey, Whitmore scoring twice against Japan. They arrived in Hull on trial and were signed a week later with Whitmore making his debut in the F.A. Cup tie at Macclesfield and scoring on his league debut at Rochdale before promotion chasing Rotherham arrived at Fer Ark in what would be his home debut. Goodison made his debut in an unfamiliar midfield berth in what was, one or two touches of Whitmore class aside, a generally uninspiring game .
