Why Safe Auditions Get You Overlooked - With Former Casting Associate Shannon Bills

Send us Fan Mail (https://www.buzzsprout.com/1524145/fa...) Shannon spent years on the other side of the casting table - and in this episode, she's telling actors everything she used to wish they knew. We get into the audition habit that quietly makes actors forgettable (even talented ones), what bold, brave actors do differently to book work and build a career one audition at a time, and the one thing most actors focus on that's actually working against them. Shannon also pulls back the curtain on how ego shows up in the audition room (and it's not what you'd expect) plus the two things she believes actors should focus on if they want their breakthrough, and the honest answer to a question every actor's asked themselves: do casting directors actually watch your whole self-tape, or cut it off early? This one's for every actor who's ever wondered what's really happening on the other side of the camera. Listen now, you'll come out the other side of this podcast energised, inspired and apporaching auditons in a whole new way. Support the show (https://www.buzzsprout.com/1524145/su...)
