Do you ever sit down to journal and think, “I don't even know what I'm feeling”?
You know you're exhausted. Overwhelmed. Irritated. Disconnected. Maybe something feels wrong—but you can't quite put your finger on what it is.
In this video, I'm showing you how to journal when you don't have the words yet. You may even feel like a beginner when you open up your journal.
Because you don't have to figure out exactly what you're feeling before you begin. Sometimes the purpose of journaling is to give yourself enough space and honesty to discover what's underneath the surface.
We'll walk through 5 tips for emotional clarity, self-reflection, emotional awareness, and reconnecting with yourself.
You'll explore:
• What you're noticing in your body
• What you know even when you don't know what you feel
• What you're pretending is okay
• What you would admit if you didn't have to make anyone else comfortable
• What you actually need
And remember: Two things can be true.
You can be grateful AND exhausted.
You can love someone AND need a boundary.
You can understand someone's perspective AND still be hurt.
You can look like you're holding it all together AND know that you're struggling.
This is the heart of unfiltered journaling: creating a private space where you don't have to perform, please, explain, or edit yourself.
If you've been living in burnout, people pleasing, perfectionism, or survival mode, this is your invitation to stop asking, “What's wrong with me?” and start asking, “What's actually true for me?”
