Overloaded Motorcycles: The Worst Way to Start a Scotland-to-Spain Tour

Our Scotland-to-Spain motorcycle tour begins in Buckie, as we ride south through Biggar to Darlington—with far too much luggage and no big plan! In Episode 1 of the No Big Plan Tour, Neil’s motorcycle is seriously overloaded, making the first part of our journey considerably more challenging than expected. Thankfully, our friends in Biggar give us the chance to stop, reconsider the packing, and unload some unnecessary gear. With a lighter, better-balanced bike, we continue south towards Darlington and the next stage of our adventure. It isn’t the smoothest start to a long-distance motorcycle tour, but that’s all part of traveling with No Big Plan.
