Leh Women take to streets to oppose Bar Licences, demands Ladakh to be declared as dry state

Women representatives and women from different villages of Leh took out a peace rally on October 12, opposing the issuance of bar licences in Ladakh and demanding that Ladakh be declared a dry state. The protesters expressed concern over the impact of alcohol consumption on society, cultural values and the traditional way of life.
