PAHAKALA - Blue Velvet Switch

Pahakala (Evil Fish) - Beautiful Heavy Metal from Ilomantsi, Finland. PAHAKALA bandleader Pekka is inspired by the late director David Lynch — his films and his music — and the mysterious, unexplainable world they create. That influence echoes through PAHAKALA's music and lyrics, as heard on tracks like "Velvet Switch" and "Blue Velvet Switch". While the historical Kalevala often echoes in our songs - the Sampo, Pohjola, Aino and Väinämöinen - Pahakala lives firmly in the present. We are conscious, modern individuals and our stories stretch from Karelian history to today. From ancient myths to modern times.
