TIMES SQUARE 1986 IN THE RAIN

RARE FOOTAGE OF TIMES SQUARE 1986. It was the 1980’s in NYC. Crack was King, and Crime was rampant. I shot this with Sony’s first ever Handicam, from inside my homemade hidden camera bag, to study reflections in the rain. I never dreamed it would be a historical record. This was originally shot so i could pause it and study rain reflections. It was never meant as a documentary since it was shot in a hidden bag and the sway didnt matter...to me.
