CPC Deluxe HD powered by PrimaLuceLab sits between two very different products: smart #telescopes and do-it-yourself #astrophotography setups. In this video, Filippo explains exactly who he recommends it to, and just as importantly, who should choose something else instead. Smart telescopes are point-and-shoot devices: easy to use, but no visual observing, low performance on the Moon and planets, and no room to grow. A do-it-yourself setup gives you full control over mount, optics, and accessories, but choosing the right combination takes real expertise, and getting it wrong is common for newcomers. That's why we worked with @Celestron to build CPC Deluxe HD powered by PrimaLuceLab, starting from the CPC Deluxe HD Schmidt-Cassegrain OTA on its alt-azimuth mount, and adding a motorized focuser, a field de-rotator, astrophotography software, and optionally our EAGLE computer with a guide scope. Every component is pre-selected, pre-tested, and fully documented, and because the system runs on open, standard interfaces controlled by PLAY, it still grows with you over time.
