EMP stack train on the Glidden Sub

Likely anticipating the NS-UP merger, UP apparently is running solid EMP stack trains now, likely in conjunction with NS. EMP is the joint UP-NS intermodal pool, part of UP’s intermodal philosophy of providing container pools for the customer to use, such as EMP and UMAX (CSX-UP service). This contrasts the bring your own container philosophy of BNSF (or ship with JB Hunt), which is a big reason BNSF still has a solid spinecar fleet, allowing the customer to bring their own trailers for transit.
