Evaporator Separation Explained. Why Your Ice-O-Matic Ice Machine Stops Making Ice.

In this video I explain what ice machine evaporator separation looks like, why it causes ice machines to fail, and how to keep it from happening. The evaporator is the part of an ice machine where the ice is formed. When the evaporator fails, it’s sometimes referred to as Evaporator Separation because the grid pattern of the evaporator becomes separated from the back wall of the evaporator. This separation causes the ice machine to shut off on a Long Harvest alert/safety.
