The hunt for the Georgia Bass Slam continues! 🎣 In Episode 2 of my Road to Completion: Georgia Bass Slam, I'm targeting one of Georgia's most exciting river bass — the spotted bass. This is a two-day fishing adventure that starts with a tough day on a heavily stained North Georgia river. The water was muddy, the conditions weren't ideal, and I was trying to figure out how these bass were reacting to the changing conditions. Along the way, I discovered that the spotted bass were willing to chase a topwater presentation, leading to some of the most exciting strikes of the trip. But Day 1 was only the beginning. On Day 2, the search for a quality spotted bass continued as I worked my way through the river trying to put another species on the Georgia Bass Slam list. The result was a 17.25-inch spotted bass and another big step toward completing the Slam. The Georgia Bass Slam challenges anglers to catch five different eligible black bass species in Georgia, and I'm documenting the entire journey from start to finish.
