AN ENGLISH BOOKSHOP REFUSED HIS BOOKS | Dag Heward-Mills

Dag remembers taking his books to a bookshop in England - they looked at them and told him to send them to Sierra Leone instead, because nobody there would want them. He also tells how Benny Hinn's preaching once sounded like nonsense to him, until one day, lying on his face listening to a tape, he suddenly understood everything. Both stories make the same point: God often comes to us in a package that looks foolish or unimpressive, and pride makes us reject it. He points to churches in England sitting empty while his own 'foolish' beginnings grew into hundreds of churches, then closes with an American woman begging him to bring his books to her country. The lesson: open your heart before you judge the package.
