How I Escaped Jehovah's Witness Left Tokyo for America at 20

In my first YouTube video, I share the story of how I left Jehovah’s Witnesses and began rebuilding my life in the United States. I was raised in a Jehovah’s Witness household in Tokyo from the age of seven. In this video, I speak about the physical punishment I experienced between the ages of seven and seventeen, the high-control environment and brainwashing, and being required to go door-to-door from a very young age. I also share how I found the courage to leave—moving alone from Tokyo to Atlanta and eventually settling in Los Angeles when I was 20 years old. This is the first of many stories I hope to share. Life after Jehovah’s Witnesses can be bright, meaningful, and full of possibilities.
