Marek Sarba - Art of the Sea

In commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, Lyme Art Association was pleased to present, "Art of the Sea", a lecture by maritime painter, Marek Sarba on his memorial work, "And the Band Played On." Polish born artist Marek Sarba uses his past as a navy sailor to inform his paintings, which capture the dynamic energy of the ocean and draw the viewer into experiencing the awe and beauty of ships at sea and maritime life. His works reflect the sea’s mystical power with a passion that only first-hand experience can produce.
