Drum Cover | Tie Your Mother Down - Queen - Roger Taylor Style - alsdrumbarn

Welcome to the 'A DAY AT THE RACES' era! Our chronological Queen marathon charges forward straight into Brian May’s blistering, heavy-hitting rock anthem from A Day at the Races (1976) — "Tie Your Mother Down". Taking on this relentless, high-energy masterpiece behind the kit is an absolute workout from start to finish! THE TRIVIA 🎓 Brian May actually wrote the song's iconic, heavy guitar riff while working on his PhD in astronomy in Tenerife! He came up with the riff on a Spanish acoustic guitar and woke up playing it one morning. Freddie Mercury loved the track instantly, despite the aggressive title. Brian originally intended to rewrite the lyrics because he thought the title was too abrasive, but Freddie convinced him to keep it exactly as it was, calling it pure rock and roll. THE DRUMS 🥁 Roger Taylor’s work on this track is the definition of driving, high-octane stadium rock. To lock this cover down, it's all about mastering that aggressive, fast-paced shuffle rhythm. It is a non-stop endurance test that showcases Roger's raw, unyielding energy! 🔔 SUBSCRIBE 🔔 If you love these raw, authentic drum covers, love classic rock, or want to track every single Queen song in exact chronological order without skipping a single track, hit that Subscribe button to join the Barn community! 👇 🙏 SUPPORT 🙏 One Off Donation: www.ko-fi.com/alsdrumbarn Membership: www.patreon.com/c/alsdrumbarn #Queen #TieYourMotherDown #DrumCover #RogerTaylor #ADayAtTheRaces #FreddieMercury #BrianMay #JohnDeacon #Drummer #ClassicRock #alsdrumbarn
