Lyrics of ESTHER, a time to shine : [Verse 1] In the land of Persia lived Esther, Beautiful, gentle, wise, and kind. She became a queen chosen by the king, By GOD'S loving hand and plan. Mordecai, her faithful cousin, Taught her how to trust the LORD. He reminded her each day to follow, GOD'S unchanging holy Word. [Chorus] For such a time as this, GOD has placed you where you are. Trust in HIM and follow HIS way, HE will guide you near and far. For such a time as this, Shine for HIM wherever you go. When you trust the LORD completely, HIS great love will always show. [Verse 2] Then wicked Haman planned, To harm GOD'S people everywhere. Many hearts were filled with worry, Many voices cried in prayer. Mordecai sent word to Esther: "Perhaps this is GOD's special plan. Who can tell if you've been chosen, For a time such as this?" [Chorus] For such a time as this, GOD has placed you where you are. Trust in HIM and follow HIS way, HE will guide you near and far. For such a time as this, Shine for HIM wherever you go. When you trust the LORD completely, HIS great love will always show. [Verse 3] Esther asked the people kindly, "Fast and pray for me today." Then she went before the king, Trusting GOD to lead the way. The king held out his golden sceptre, Welcoming her without fear. Then she bravely told the truth, And GOD was very near. [Verse 4] The LORD turned evil into blessing, And saved His people from their fear. Songs of joy filled all the kingdom, Praising GOD for being nearby. They remembered GOD'S protection, And HIS faithfulness each day. Giving thanks for all His goodness, And HIS loving care always. [Final Chorus] When the road seems hard before you, And you do not know what to do, GOD can use you where you are, Just as Esther trusted too. For such a time as this, Let your light for JESUS shine. Trust the LORD with all your heart, For His plans are good and kind. [Ending] Shine, shine, shine for Jesus, Let HIS love be seen through you. For such a time as this, GOD has special work to do!
