ઍફિલ ટાવર પર મહિલાઓને કેમ હટાવાઈ? BAPS મુલાકાત બાદ શું થયું?

પેરિસના પ્રખ્યાત ઍફિલ ટાવર પર BAPSના લગભગ 100 સભ્યોના પ્રતિનિધિમંડળની મુલાકાત બાદ મોટો વિવાદ સર્જાયો છે. મીડિયા અહેવાલો મુજબ, મુલાકાત દરમિયાન કેટલીક મહિલા કર્મચારીઓને તેમની કાર્યસ્થળ પરથી હટાવી તેમની જગ્યાએ પુરુષ કર્મચારીઓને તહેનાત કરવામાં આવ્યા હોવાનો આક્ષેપ થયો છે. ઍફિલ ટાવરનું સંચાલન કરતી કંપની SETEએ પણ જણાવ્યું કે પ્રતિનિધિમંડળ તરફથી મહિલાઓ સાથે શક્ય તેટલી ઓછી વાતચીત થાય તેવી વિનંતી કરવામાં આવી હતી. કંપનીએ સ્વીકાર્યું કે આવી શરતો સ્વીકારવી ન જોઈતી હતી અને આ ઘટના તેના મહિલા-પુરુષ સમાનતાના મૂલ્યો સાથે સુસંગત નથી. આ ઘટનાને લઈને ઍફિલ ટાવરના કર્મચારીઓમાં અસંતોષ ફેલાયો અને હડતાળને કારણે ટાવર બંધ પણ રહ્યો. બીજી તરફ BAPSએ મુલાકાત દરમિયાન થયેલી કોઈપણ અસુવિધા બદલ માફી માગી અને પરસ્પર સન્માન તથા સેવાના મૂલ્યોમાં વિશ્વાસ વ્યક્ત કર્યો. ફ્રાન્સના રાજકીય નેતાઓએ પણ આ મામલે પ્રતિક્રિયા આપી છે. આખરે ઍફિલ ટાવર પર શું થયું? મહિલાઓને કેમ ખસેડવામાં આવી?
