Later, doctors at Bir Hospital in Kathmandu correctly identified his disease and began proper treatment, and he says his condition is now gradually improving. Lama Dupchen is currently demanding compensation from the hospital, stating that the wrong treatment has caused long-term damage to his health and may require lifelong medication.
