COIMBATORE SAHODAYA INTER-SCHOOL YOUTH PARLIAMENT 2026

Celebrating Democracy, Leadership, and Youth Engagement! On **15th September 2026**, Agaram Public School, Dharapuram, proudly hosts the **Coimbatore Sahodaya – Inter-School Youth Parliament 2026**, bringing together young parliamentarians from *eight schools* for an immersive simulation of parliamentary democracy. The event brings together student delegates from Agaram Public School, The PSBB Millennium School, RD International School, The United Public School, Peepal Prodigy School, The NGP School, PEM School of Excellence, and VIBGYOR High. We are honoured to welcome Dr. S. K. Kharventhan, Member of Parliament, former Member of the 14th Lok Sabha (2004–2009) and Sansad Ratna Awardee, as the Chief Guest of the Youth Parliament 2026. His presence brings a distinguished parliamentary perspective to this celebration of young leadership and democratic engagement, inspiring our young parliamentarians to understand the responsibilities of public life and the importance of informed and responsible citizenship. ��️ Through a realistic parliamentary setting, students will take on various roles in th House and engage in **debate, deliberation, questioning and decision-making**, demonstrating their knowledge, leadership, communication skills and understanding of parliamentary procedures. �� The young parliamentarians will deliberate on several **contemporary issues of nationa importance**, including the integrity of testing agencies, the Cauvery water dispute, working hours of doctors, privatisation of the space sector, brain drain, human trafficking, natural disaster preparedness, and cybersecurity and data protection. The Youth Parliament is more than a competition—it is an opportunity for young citizens to understand the **values of democracy, responsibility, representation and constructive dialogue**. It aims to nurture students who can *think critically, speak responsibly and lead democratically*. �� *As young voices rise in the House, may their questions inspire thought, their debate encourage dialogue, and their decisions reflect the spirit of responsible citizenship.* ���� *Question.
