DJ Yella (STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON: My Untold Story) Interview

First and foremost I got to give credit to God for this interview. Did a lot of praying for this interview. Out of every NWA member DJ Yella "Antoine Carraby" is definitely the big brother out of the whole group. His work with not only NWA but ruthless records is legendary incorporating his skills for groups such as JJ FAD, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and etc. However, for years he kept quiet about his life and events prior too and after joining the worlds most dangerous group. His new book, "STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON: My Untold Story" is as he puts it, "My testimony that God wanted me to write." Now a born again belIever in Jesus Christ, DJ Yella tells his miraculous story of rags to riches, back to rags, to a different way of life. Going through his life DJ Yella tells about the loss of his brother at a young age, his upbringing in Compton, and how he learned the art of be a DJ. This along with how he lost all of his fortune and got it back through God's grace. I approached this interview very differently in the questions I wanted to ask. Most of the music questions where answered in the book, however the spiritual questions about his faith I had to ask. It was eye opening and interesting to see how life tends to play out.
