Hello and welcome to the introduction to emerging diseases. N.B: You may hear some strange noises in the background @ roughly 8 minutes, this is because I am at university and it's a Friday night... so yeah! In this video I introduce the concept of emerging diseases and how emerging diseases can be regulated in terms of prevention and surveillance and how certain factors can determine whether or not a disease can cause an outbreak.
